Typical packing scenario 1

Picker is handed a pile of delivery notes, these may have been optionally presorted by product code or ascending/descending quantity or can simply be the next batch of orders printed in order number sequence.

Taking the first delivery note, the process follows this simple routine.

1. Pick stock from warehouse for the order.

2. Scan delivery note at the packing bench

3. Scan each product to prove that the correct items and quantities were picked

4. Print despatch label

Repeat (typically) 250 times per day per packer.

Typical packing scenario 2

Picker is handed a pile of delivery notes, which includes a picking list for all the items printed in one of the orders listed above

1. Pick all of the stock required to complete this batch of orders.

2. Pack them as per scenario 1 above without needing to leave the packing bench

This is a faster method of packing, especially if the items are not bulky.
